How to reach the beach

The beach of Inglesi is situated in the municipality of Ischia, loc. Sant'Alessandro, just a short walk from the port. It's reachable only on foot across a small path from the dock of Ischia Porto. 

Several bus lines stop in this area, like CD – CS – 1 – 2 – 3 – 5 – 6 – 7 – 8 – 15 – C12 – C13, being Ischia Porto the main terminal.

San Pietro Beach, Ischia

The beach of San Pietro is situated 150 m from the square, historical meeting place. It starts from the port and ends to Ischia Ponte (beach of Pescatori), from which derives its name. 

Very popular, especially in summer, is equipped with bathing establishments and several entertainments activities.

The beach is fine easly reachable. Thanks to the shallow floors and cliffs it's suitable for families, children and elderly persons.

How to reach the beach

The beach of San Pietro is situated in the municipality of Ischia, near the port. It's easly reachable by bus and car. The bust stop is 750 m and 8 minutes on foot. The route isinterests lines CD – CS – 8 – C12 – C13 that stop in Piazza degli Eroi, famous meeting place for islanders.

If you prefer to move by car, along the street you can find ample public parking. The car transit, except motorcycles and public transport, is allowed from 6.00 to 10.00 and from 15.00 to 17.00.

Ischia Porto

Ischia is the principal town of the Island of Ischia, and is located on the north-eastern coast of the island. The town is divided into two distinct settlements, Ischia Ponte and Ischia Porto.

Ischia Porto, named for its port, is the arrival and departure point for most of the island's ferry services. The island's circular port was once a volcanic crater which filled up with water to become a lake. It was opened up to the sea in 1853, and now accommodates large ferries (who squeeze carefully through the narrow opening), hydrofoils, yachts and fishing boats.

Various independently-organised boat-trips depart from the harbour, taking visitors around the island, to beaches and sights, or to the beautiful nearby island of Procida. From the bus station in Ischia Porto it's easy to take buses to other towns.

For holidaymakers who don't wish to travel further afield, there are some popular beaches along the shore in either direction, including the Spiaggia dei Pescatori, towards Ischia Ponte. A military thermal spa was constructed in 1876 to cater for soldiers, on the site of a casino belonging to the Bourbon royalty of Naples.

The exhibition, consisting of about 30 stands, called "CREATIVAMENTE" and will be held every Wednesday throughout the summer at the following times:

You can visit the first local art and craft fair, under the patronage of the town of Ischia in the Viale dei Bambini.

Only for the period of July and August the hours will be from 17:00 to 22:30, the fair will be held until Wednesday, October 8, 2014.
