A small isthmus, alongside a packed beach, connects the mainland to a rocky outcrop, which was once topped by a tower destroyed by the English.

The long bay extending eastwards from Sant'Angelo is one of the island's most popular beaches, and within a short distance is an area of hot springs, which can be reached on foot or by water taxi.
